Online and last seen status Viber always runs in the background on your phone or computer so that incoming calls and messages can reach you. You will only appear as online if you have used Viber recently. If you prefer that other users can't see your online and last seen status you can change them from inside your Viber settings. I think the 'online' status just means that viber is running in the background and that their device is switched on. LAST online could mean that they have switched off their device or it has run out of battery, I don't think it means that they have definately read your messages.

What is Viber?

It will only work between devices with Viber installed and the App is free to download. Kids love it – free calls and texts between friends. There are several similar programs available for this kind of messaging but Viber is one of the fastest growing.

Why Would You Hack Viber?

The better spy programs have been busy trying to cover this “loophole” and now you can monitor all activity that takes place using the Viber App. There are a few things you need to know before this will work.

What You Need to Hack Viber

This is very new technology and only a few programs can actually monitor Viber at the moment. At present you can only spy on Viber on Android and IOS devices – Android cell phones and Tablets and Apple devices such as the iPhone and iPad.

Another important point is that Android devices must be Rooted and of course any Apple device needs to be Jailbroken. (I explain what these are in the Tech Guides section – if you are not sure).

Which is the Best?

I have tested it on both Flexispy Extreme and mSpy and both work well. FlexiSpy, as usual, were the first to release this feature so maybe they have the edge in terms of ironing out any initial problems.

In my testing mSpy worked reliably and offers good value.

You are unlikely to be making a choice based solely on Viber monitoring – you should be looking at the value of the overall program and does it suit your needs. Check out my full reviews to see how they match up before jumping in.

But this is not all. You can also turn off a feature so that your contacts won’t find out that you have Seen their messages. Here is how you can do that:

Viber features to turn off light screen for messages

If you want your screen to turn on every time you receive a message you can its feature off. Using this feature, your screen won’t light up every time you receive a message on Viber. Here is how you can use this Viber feature.

4. Untick Light screen for messages

Viber Secret Chat feature

Secret Chat is a feature of Viber that provides more privacy and security than ever.
