SQUIRL - Field Day Logger 8
The Simple Quick and Ready Logger Software for Field Day
Greater Field Day Fun -- Guaranteed!
...this is quite the step above previous software Ive used for field day. Brett (KC7OTG) SQUIRL ...is fantastic as usual! Mike (W4MSW), Assistant EC for Sevier County, TN This will be the 3rd year the University of Arkansas at Little Rock ARC has used your great program. John (KA5VAQ) It looks like a Godsend for me... Bill (KA2EMZ) It is ELEGANT in it's SIMPLICITY. We found that we could train on the spot and the program performed flawlessly. Bill (W4CMB), Triode Radio Club Easy to use...the dupe checker worked well and saved a fair bit of time...look forward to using it again next year. Murph (WA1VKO) ...installed it using Wine on my Ubuntu Linux laptop. It works great and I can use Unix-y commands to search the friendly named log files, like grep, and awk. Michael (KB1PKJ) |

Welcome to the SQUIRL Field Day Logger Site!
This is the Field Day Logger that will work for you. This software is just what you need for quick and efficient logging for the most important day of the year in Amateur Radio. And why is it named SQUIRL? S-Qui-R-L stands for Simple-Quick-and-Ready-Logger.
(Main Entry Window) | |
(History Grid) |
SQUIRL Field Day Logger makes all log entries to easily readable text files based on your callsign, band, and mode. For example, if you are working 20 meters sideband under the call K8DAA, entries would be logged to a file called K8DAA-20M-SSB.txt. All callsigns, modes, and bands are supported. After field day, you can copy and print the relevant logs for simplified and legible perusal.
There are also features that will increase your Field Day Fun Factor! By clicking the View->History menu item, you can show a real-time history grid of your previous contacts. And be sure not to miss the real-time map of the USA and Canada. This map shows the location of all the contacts you've made on the band and mode you are working. To view the map, a screen resolution of 1024x768 or higher is recommended, but not required.
And...don't forget the ever popular double-size feature that doubles the size of the main entry window for quick entry without the use of spectacles.
Click on the link below to download the installation file. Run the installation, and fire away.
The first time you run it, a readme file will show with some relevant information. Click on the Help menu and choose 'View Readme File...' to see it again.
